ICHR Post Doctoral Fellowships 2012-13

Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), New Delhi is offering Post – Doctoral Fellowships (PDF) for academic session 2012 – 13. There are 10 fellowships to be awarded for the eligible candidates through an Eligibility Examination to be held on 2nd December, 2012 at New Delhi, Bengaluru and Guwahati.

Amount of ICHR Post Doctoral fellowship is Rs. 28000 per month for period of two years, which should be extendable by 1 more year by recommendation of the Research Projects Committee. Post-doctoral fellowships will be awarded based on Performance in the written examination and interview and The quality of the Ph.D. dissertation of the candidate.

Interested and eligible candidates can download prescribed application form from the ICHR website www. ichrindia.org. The application fee is Rs. 300. Fee should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of the Deputy Director (Accounts), Indian Council of Historical Research and payable at the UCO Bank 35, Ferozeshah Road, ICSSR New Delhi – 110002.

Filled in application form along with all relevant copies of documents and fee DD should be sent to the Deputy Director (Accounts), Indian Council of Historical Research, Ferozeshah Road, ICSSR New Delhi – 110002. Last date for the submission of completed application form is 30th October, 2012. Interview will be held at the offices of the ICHR in New Delhi.

ICHR Junior Research Fellowships for Ph.D 2012-13

Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), New Delhi has announced notification for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for the Ph.D. Courses for the academic year 2012 -13 through an all India level eligibility examination. There are 80 Junior Research Fellowships in total. Amount of Fellowship is Rs. 16000 per month for a period of two years and later will be extended for one more year.

Eligibility : Applicants must have Post Graduation or equivalent examination from a recognized universities / institutions with 55 percent marks in aggregate. Candidates who are admitted for a Ph.D programme can also apply for the ICHR Junior Research Fellowship (Junior Fellowship). Applicants must be qualified in Eligibility Examination.

The application fee is Rs. 200. Fee should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of the Deputy Director (Accounts), Indian Council of Historical Research and payable at the UCO Bank 35, Ferozeshah Road, ICSSR New Delhi – 110002. Candidate who have qualified in written test may appear for Interview held at the offices of the ICHR in New Delhi.
