Govt Scholarships

Maulana Azad Education Foundation (MAEF) has announced Scholarship for Girls for the year 2016 – 2017. The scholarship is for meritorious girl students belonging to national minorities. Scholarship will be provided for payment of fee, purchase of books, boarding expenses etc.

Eligibility: Only Girl Students belonging to Minorities are eligible. They should have secured not less than 55 percent marks in aggregate in the secondary school certificate examination (Class xth).

Family income of the student from all sources should be less than Rs. 100000 (Rupees one lakh only) in the preceding financial year. They also should have confirmed admission in class-XI.

Interested candidates can apply online only through the website http://www.maef.nic.in/REGDemo.aspx . Closing date for the submission of applications is 30 September 2016.

LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation is offering scholarships for the poor and meritorious candidates across the country. The LIC Scholar scheme offers 20 scholarships in each LIC division. These are distributed 10 each for boys and girls. Economically backward students will be given preference.

Candidates should be studying medicine, engineering, any graduation or diploma courses in any branch. Candidates studying in any Govt approved colleges or ITIs are eligible to apply.

Eligibility: Candidates should have passed 12th Class in 2015-16 or its equivalent with at least 60 percent marks or its equivalent grade. Annual income of the family should be below Rs. 1 lakh.

Interested candidates can apply online only through LIC website www.licindia.in . You can also contact your nearest LIC divisional branch for more details. Last date for the submission of online applications is 23 September 2016.
