RBI Scholarship Scheme for Economics Faculty Members 2012

Reserve Bank of India is inviting applications in the prescribed format from full time faculty members who are teaching economics or finance in any UGC recognised universities or affiliated colleges in India. Selected candidates should undertake research in the areas of monetary and financial economics, banking, real sector issues and other areas of interest of research to the Reserve Bank of India.

The main objective of the scholarship scheme is to increase awareness about the activities of the Reserve Bank among faculty members and student community. The scheme will provide exposure to faculty members teaching subjects of economics and or finance in different areas or activities in the Reserve Bank of India.

Number of Scholarships are a maximum of three. Candidates will be short listed based on the research proposal of not more than 1000 words, curriculum vitae and interview by a selection panel. Duration of the project is three months commencing from 13 July 2012. Location of the project is Central Office departments at Mumbai. IGCAR Kalpakkam Junior Research Fellowships

Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam has announced notification for Junior Research Fellowships (JRFs) 2012 for young and talented students to contribute to path breaking research in the areas of engineering and sciences. The IGCAR is functioning under the aegis of Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India. The selected candidates will be eligible to enroll for Ph.D. in Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI). Number of fellowships offered are 50. Here are other details:

Areas of research projects: Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Metallurgy or Materials Science and Engineering Sciences. Applicants should have qualified in the disciplines of Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Metallurgy / Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Atmospheric Sciences. Age should be below 28 years as on 01-07-2012.

Candidates with following educational qualifications are eligible. They should have Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physical / Chemical / Atmospheric Sciences OR B.E./ B.Tech../ B.S. or B.Sc. Engineering/ B.Sc. Tech. OR Engineering (BE / B.Tech) in CSE, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical, ME, EIE, ECE, EEE OR should be in the final year / semester of M.Sc./ B.E./ B.Tech./ B.S. or B.Sc. Engineering / B.Sc. (Tech).
