Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) are jointly offering Prime Minister’s Fellowship Scheme for Doctoral Research for the year 2012. An amount of Fellowship is Rs. 6 lakh per annum.

Total Number of Fellowships : 100.
Duration of Fellowship : 4 years.
Area of Research : Technology, Agriculture, Engineering, Science and Medicine.
Eligibility : Candidates who have registered for Ph.D in 2012 (in any recognized University / Institute / Research Laboratory) are eligible to apply for this scheme.
Mode of selection : Interview.

Ministry of Environment and Forests (MEF), Government of India.is offering National Environmental Sciences Fellows Program for the academic year 2013. Programmes are offered in the area of environmental sciences, engineering and technology.

1. Number of Fellowships : 78.
2. Duration of the fellowship : Three years.
3. Area of Research: Social Sciences- 15, Technological – 18, Basic Science – 21 and Observation Modelling and Simulation – 24 fellowships.
4. Eligibility : Ph.D in any branch of Science / Engineering / Medicine / Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering.
5. Experience : Minimum 5 to 8 years of research experience.
Selection Procedure : Based merit in the previous academic record, Discussion and interview.
6. Age: Below 35 years.
