Govt Scholarships

The Centre for Science and Technology of the Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries (NAM S&T Centre; www.namstct.org) has announced Research Training Fellowships for Developing Country Scientists (RTF – DCS) for the year 2013-14.

Broad disciplines of research are Agricultural Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences and Mathematics, Biological and Medical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Materials, Minerals and Metallurgy, Multi-disciplinary and Other Areas and
Engineering Sciences.

Eligibility: Master’s Degree in any Natural Science subject or Degree in Engineering or Medicine and allied disciplines. They should be working in a National R&D or Academic Institution.

The last date for submission of completed application form along with required enclosures is 14th October 2013. For more details, see www.namstct.org .

CBSE has announced merit scholarship scheme for Single Girl Child students for the year 2013-14. Applicants should be only child of their parents and have passed the CBSE Class X exam 2013 with at least 60 percent marks or 6.2 CGPA. They should be continuing their school education of class xi and class xii.

The candidates will be selected based on merit in CBSE Class X examination. Scholarship will be renewed on a year to year basis till the completion of chosen course of study.

Value of scholarship if Rs. 500 per month.
Duration of the scholarship: 2 years.
