CCRT – Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme 2014

Center for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), a division of Ministry of Culture, Government of India is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the award of scholarships under Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme – 2014.

Applicants’ age must be between 10-14 years. The eligible disciplines are music, dance, drama, painting, sculpture, crafts etc.

Total number of scholarships: 620. Out of these, 100 scholarships will be given for themes on tribal culture. Duration of the scholarship is two years and subject to extension for every two years or till the completion of first degree of the University.

Interested candidates can download the application forms from www.ccrtindia.gov.in . Last date for the submission of applications is 31 December 2013.

Lok Sabha Research Fellowships Notification 2013-14

Lok Sabha, Parliament of India has issued notification for the grant of Lok Sabha Research Fellowships for the year 2013. Fellowships will be awarded in two streams. These are for writing books and monographs. Candidates can apply for both the fellowships but the fellowship will be awarded to any one category only.

Value of felowship is Rs. 4,50,000 for writing books and Rs. 2 lakhs for writing monographs. Additional Rs.50000 will be awarded for writing books for publication expenses.

Eligibility: Applicants should be minimum graduates preferably in social sciences. They have to submit a synopsis of 1000 words on the proposed research topic. The research has to be carried out in the topics relevant to following issues:

1. Evolution and development of Parliamentary System
2. Role of Parliament
3. Parliamentary Committees and Forums
4. Parliament and the People
5. Parliamentary and International Affairs
6. Parliament and its heritage.

Interested candidates, scholars and other people can download the application forms from the Lok Sabha website. Research proposal should contain an abstract, title, background, research problem, overview of literature, hypothesis, research methodology, data collection, bibliography and outline of final report.
