Regional Institute of English-B.Ed. in English Admissions

Regional Institute of English, South India, Bangalore is offering B.Ed. in English Course. The degree will be awarded by Bangalore University under Semester Scheme. There are 100 seats which will be distributed to Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry and Tamilnadu equallly (16 each). 20 seats will be allocated for students of other states.

Eligibility Conditions: Applicants must have passed in B.A/ B.Sc. under 10+2+3 pattern with minimum 50 percent of marks in aggregate of all the subjects. They must have secured minimum of 50 percent in the English Optional subject for all the Three years. You also should have studied English as a language in the Degree and secured a minimum of 55 percent marks. Regional Institute of English South India, Bangalore conduct an Entrance Test for the admission purpose. Medium of Instruction for the course is English.

Application Procedure: Candidates can download application forms from Institute’s website. Application forms can also be had from the institute by sending a crossed DD for Rs.500/- drawn in favour of “The Director, RIESI, Bangalore – 560056”. Application fee for SC/ ST candidates is Rs. 250. Last date for receipt of filled in applications is 28 December 2010.

Apart from B.Ed. English, RIESI also offers 30 day Teacher Development Programmes for Primary and Secondary School Teachers, PG Diploma in English Language Teaching and Diploma in Communication along with number of need based short term courses.
