Central Institute of Classical Tamil (CICT), Chennai has announced notification for the award of Doctoral Fellowships for the year 2012-13. CICT is an Autonomous Institute functioning under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development and Government of India. Selection of the candidates for the fellowships will be based on the merit in written test and Interview. Selected candidates will get Doctoral Fellowship of Rs. 12,000 pm for a period of two years.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must have registered for Ph.D. in any recognized University / Institute. The proof of Ph.D. registration should be enclosed along with the application. Candidates with minimum 55 percent marks in PG in Literature / Linguistics or allied disciplines such as Archaeology / Education / Sociology / Epigraphy / Philosophy / Performing Arts / Anthropology / Folklore / Musicology etc. are eligible to apply. Applicants age should be below 30 years as on 16th August, 2012.

Filled in application forms along with relevant documents in support of age, educational qualifications and Ph.D registration proof should be sent to The Registrar, Central Institute of Classical Tamil, IRT Campus, 100 Feet Road, Taramani, Chennai – 600 113. Last date for the submission of completed application forms is on 16th August, 2012.
