CBSE Class 10 Board Exams Compulsory From March 2018

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has approved the restoration of the board-based Class X exams from the year 2018. The first Class X examination will be conducted in March 2018.

The decision paves the way for reintroduction of the public examinations at the end of the secondary education after seven years. The new weightage division will be 80 percent to the Board-based and 20 percent will be internal assessments.

After the introduction of CCE in 2009, the CBSE has made the Class X board exam optional. In this system, the students have the option to take the school-based exam.

The present batch of Class X students of CBSE schools will continue as per the current format where both the school-based and board-based options will be open. The Board exam will be compulsory from March 2018 (From the batch 2017-18).

CBSE 10th Class Results and Copies of Answer Sheets – 2016

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be releasing Class X / 10th Class results 2016 today. The results will be announced much earlier than the expected date of 31st May 2016. The results can be accessed through www.cbse.nic.in .

14,99,122 candidates were appeared for the CBSE 10th Class final examinations. Out of these 8,92,685 were boys and 6,06,437 candidates were girls.

The CBSE Class X results will be made available on the websites www.cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.nic.in or other private websites. The results along with marks and CGPAs will be announced by CBSE.

Candidates can also download the copies of answer sheets from the CBSE website after the announcement of results. Candidates can download the same for their reference.
