CBIP Thermal Power Plant Engineering Admissions 2012-13

Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP), New Delhi has announced notification for admission into PG Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering for academic year 2012-13. This a modular type course and duration of the course is 52 weeks (two semesters). There are 60 seats in this course offered at CBIP.

Eligibility: Applicants should have B.Tech / B.E or equivalent in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from a recognized University / Institute. Candidates who have appeared for final year examinations can also apply. The selection of the candidates for the course will be based on the marks in their previous examinations, GATE and PGDC – CET 2012 qualification. Age : Below 27 years.

Prescribed application form should be downloaded from website of CBIP www.cbip.org . Filled in forms along with DD of Rs. 700/- in favour of CBIP payable at New Delhi, two photographs, attested copies of certificates for a proof of age and qualifications should be sent to Secretary, Central Board of Irrigation and Power, Malcha Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi – 110021. CBIP New Delhi PG Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering Admissions 2011

Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP), New Delhi has issued admission notification 2011 for Post Graduate Diploma Course in Thermal Power Plant Engineering. The course is designed to cater the needs of thermal power industry in the country. Duration of the course is 52 weeks (One year). Available seats are 60. After completion of this course, the Engineers / candidates would be eligible for operation and maintenance of power plants of capacity 100 MW and above. The course is also recognised by Central Electricity Authority (CEA). Following are details of the programme, eligibility, selection and application procedure:

Eligibility for Post Graduate Diploma Course in Thermal Power Plant Engineering: The applicants should have obtained B.E. / B.Sc. (Engineering), AMIE or equivalent degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics and Communication / Control and Instrumentation / Power Engineering. Candidates those appearing in their final year examination may also apply. Graduate Engineers (BE / B.Techs) sponsored by State Electricity Boards / Power Utilities and Private Companies with minimum one year post qualification experience are also eligible to apply. They should have secured at least 60 percent marks in BE / B-Tech. / equivalent degree.

Course fee is Rs.1,30,000/- . Fee has to be paid in 3 installments. Fee for sponsored candidates is Rs. 150000/-. Selection of the candidates will be based on the marks obtained in 10th, 12th and BE or equivalent
examination. The weightage would be in the ratio of 10, 20, 70 percent respectively for each examination. Admission counseling will be held at CBIP, Malcha Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi and the date of counseling will be informed to the candidates.
