Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra, Ranchi has released admission notification for full-time / part- time Ph.D programmes in the Departments and Groups of Applied Physics, Bio-Medical Instrumentation, Architecture, Applied Mathematics, Bio-Technology, Management, Applied Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Remote Sensing and Space Engineering Centre of Excellence in Climatology, Chemical and Polymer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Environmental Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Production Engineering and Rocketry. Candidates need fluency in written and spoken English.
Eligibility Criteria : Applicants must have M.Phil. / M.Sc in Technology / Engineering / Pharmacy / Management / Architecture / or equivalent with minimum 60 percent marks at Master’s level. Candidates with M.Phil. / Master’s Degree in Science / Humanities with at least 55 percent marks in PG are also eligible. Candidate with minimum 70 percent marks in Bachelor Degrees such as B.Tech / B.E. / B.Sc. Engineering / B.Arch. / B. Pharm. / MBBS may also eligible to apply. Those qualified in CSIR – NET / NBHM etc may get fellowships from the respective organizations.

Last date for the receipt of application form is on 30th July, 2012 . Selection will be based on entrance exam and interview.
