SSC Normalisation Procedure for CGL, CHSL and Other Recruitment Exams

Staff Selection Commission (SSC), which is the central recruitment agency to fill vacancies in various government departments has decided to follow normalization method for various recruitment examinations from 2019.

SSC condusts CHSL, CGLE, Constables (GD) and various other exams online in multiple shifts. Normalisation method will avoid any variations in difficulty levels in question papers of various shifts and dates.

SSC has mentioned in its official circular that “in all multi-shift examinations, the distribution of abilities of candidates is the same across all the shifts” as the basic assumption for normalisation.
