Lower primary school teachers in meghalaya have a reason to celebrate. Over 4000 lower primary school teachers in north eastern state of Meghalaya will be entitled to various service benefits from this December 2013.
The meghalaya government has agreed to the demands of All MeghalayaPrimary School Teachers’ Association (AMPSTA).
The government has also assured to implement Contributory Provident Fund (CPF) for non-government deficit LP schools, head teachers allowance at Rs 300 permonth for government / non government deficit LP schools with effect from December 1, 2013.
Teachers with higher qualifications will get advance increment. The government is yet to take a decision on the demand relating to maternity leave and confirmation of services of primary school teachers.
