The Sir Ratan Tata Trust, Mumbai announced Ratan Tata Scholarships for the year 2011. The duration of the scholarship is one year for study in UK and two years for education in United States. The scholarship scheme is for those who wish to study their Master’s Programs in United Kingdom or United States only. The Trust offers these scholarships for talented students who want to pursue PG Programs in the broad fields of Development Studies. Candidates with special focus on Developmental Economics, Public Health or Science-Technology-Society (STS) Studies will be preferred. Following are details of eligibility and application procedure:
Eligibility Requirements: Indian nationals residing in India and having excellent academic track record along with some extra – curricular achievements are eligible to apply. Candidates with experience in the broad selected fields will be preferred. Candidates must have secured confirmed admission in the UK or USA educational institutions for any academic course of study with broad specialisations in the fields mentioned above. The course should be offered in full-time mode only. Candidates joined in online and distance learning courses are not eligible.
The scholarship amount: The value of the scholarship is Rs 20,000 per year. The amount will cover tuition fee and also make a contribution towards living expenses. Eligible and Interested candidates can apply in the prescribed application form available on the official website of the Trust at www.srtt.org.
