Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (IICB), Jadavpur, Kolkata has announced notification for Ph.D. Admissions for the year 2012-13. IICB is functioning under the aegis of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Candidates have to apply online only through IICB website at www.career.iicb.res.in . The Ph.D. Programme is offered in the areas of Biological, Chemical and inter-disciplinary research. Following are details of seats, eligibility and application procedure:
Number of seats are 100. Eligibility: Applicants should have NET (CSIR / UGC) qualification OR DBT / DST / ICMR- JRF Fellowship. Selected candidates will get monthly stipend of Rs.14, 000 – Rs.16000. Age should be below 28 years. Areas of research are Molecular and Human Genetics, Infectious diseases and immunology, cell biology and physiology, drug development and diagnostics and biotechnology, structural biology and bioinformatics and chemistry.
IICB will conduct a walk in interview during March, June, September and December of every year. Candidates can follow the IICB website for the latest schedule of walk in interviews of Ph.D. admissions. There will be 25 seats in each session.
