IIT Madras HSEE 2011 for Integrated Courses

Indian Institute of Technology Madras issued notification for Humanities and Social Sciences Examination (HSEE-2011) for admission to Integrated M.A. in Development Studies and Integrated M.A. in English Studies for the academic year 2011-12. Admission to these programmes is based on HSEE 2011 only. The programme has a total of 46 seats with each discipline having a total of 23 seats. The examination will be held on 8th May 2011 throughout India. Following are details of eligibility, application procedure and fee particulars.

Eligibility: Applicants should have completed 10+2 / appearing for the final exams of +2 of any recognied board. Candidates having / appearing above qualifications from all Central / State Boards Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy. General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level OR High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University / H.S.C. Vocational Examination / National Open School are laso eligible. All candidates must submit physical fitness certificate.

The HSEE 2011 will be conducted in Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Madurai, Mumbai, New Delhi, Thiruvananthapuram, and Trichy. Interested candidates have to apply online only through www.iitm.ac.in.

Course and Hostel Fee:

1. One time payment: Rs. 1750 + 2000 (Caution Deposit)
2. Semester Fee: Rs. 6150
3. Hostel and Other fee: Rs. 12929 for first semester and Rs. 11929 per semester for second to tenth semesters.
