DA-IICT Admission Notification 2012 for B.Tech – ICT

Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT) has announced admission notification for B.Tech. (ICT – Information and Communication Technology) for 2012 batch. DA-IICT is one of the most reputed technical institutions in the country. The institute was established by Reliance Group of ADAG (Anil Ambani) at Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat. Admission to B.Tech (ICT) will be through AIEEE 2012 ranks only. DA- IICT is recognized by UGC, Govt. of India. Following are the details of eligibility, selection procedure, scholarships and application process:

B.Tech (ICT- Information and Communication Technology): Qualification and Eligibility: Applicants should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. They must apply and appear for AIEEE 2012 as the short listing for counseling will be based on All India Rank of AIEEE 2012. Candidates should also apply separately for DA-IICT in response to the admission announcement through www.daiict.ac.in.

Selection Process: The short listed candidates from AIEEE 2012 ranks will be called for counseling to be held at Gandhinagar and they will be offered admission in order of their merit at the national level. There will be a limited number of seats for NRIs under ‘Direct Admission of Foreign and NRI Students’ (DAFS). Total seats in the programme is 240. Out of these, 50 percent seats will be filled on the basis of AIEEE 2011 ranks and remaining 50 percent from the candidates passing their qualifying examination from the schools located in the Gujarat State. Reservations apply as per the rules of Govt. of India.

Fee Structure for B.Tech programme:

1) Tuition Fee: Rs. 30,000 per Semester
2) Registration Fee: Rs. 2,500 per Semester
3) Caution Deposit: Rs. 10,000 (Refundable at the end of the Program)
4) Hostel Rent: Rs. 7,000 per Semester (Staying in the hostel is compulsory)
5) Food: As per actuals, as charged by the canteen / cafeteria. (These expenses will be approximately Rs.2,000 per month).

Scholarships: DA- IICT offer good scholarships to all the students admitted to the B Tech program with an AIEEE All India Rank below 5000. They will awarded merit scholarship equivalent to full tuition fees. Apart from this, five merit-cum-means scholarships would be offered to the students with good All India Ranks in AIEEE.

Application Procedure: Interested candidates can apply online through www.daiict.ac.in. OR you can apply in the prescribed application form which is also required to be sent to the institute along with necessary enclosures. The prescribed DA-IICT Application Form can be obtained from the website or from select Branches of Axis Bank by paying Rs. 1000.
