CBSE – AISSE 2012 Exams Time Table – Date Sheet for Class X

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi has announced Secondary School (Class X) Examination Schedule / Time Table for the year 2012 – 2013. The date sheet of the AISSE – 10th Class CBSE examinations for 2012 is available below. The Board Examinations for Class X will commence from 1st March 2012 with Painting subject and will end on 26th March 2012 with Social Science Subject. Physical Research Laboratory Ph.D. Admissions 2012

Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmadabad (Gujarat) is inviting applications for admission to Ph.D. Programme with Junior Research Fellowships for the academic year 2012-2013. PRL is a premier research institution in India and functioning under the aegis of the Department of Space, Government of India. The PRL has campuses at Ahmedabad, Mt. Abu and Udaipur along with main campus at Navrangpura, Ahmedabad. The PRL has excellent research facilities in the broad areas of Astronomy, Astrophysics and Planetary Science and Exploration. Following are details of research areas for which PRL offers Junior Research Fellowships leading to a Ph.D. degree:

1) Astronomy and Astrophysics
2) Solar Physics
3) Geo-sciences
4) Planetary Sciences & Exploration
5) Space and Atmospheric Sciences
6) Theoretical Physics

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should have M.Sc. in any one of the following subjects: 1. Physics, Geology, Atmospheric Sciences, Chemistry (Physical / Nuclear / Analytical), Space Sciences, Geophysics, Ocean Sciences and Climate Sciences. Candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics at the Under Graduate level. All the candidates require at least 60 percent marks at Bachelor’s and Master’s level. Age should be below 25 years as on 31st December 2011.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected based on the performance in written test. The level of written exam will be based on the Post Graduate syllabus of Indian Universities. Along with score in written exam, latest scores in JEST / GATE / UGC- CSIR NET – JRF will be considered for shortlisting the candidates for interviews. Those who qualify in the personal interview will be selected as JRFs at PRL. Those candidates awaiting for the final yea results at the time of interview will be admitted provisionally. Selected JRF candidates will be paid a fellowship of 16,000 per month for the first two years and will be raised to 18,000 per month after two years.
