Jamshedpur is known for industrialization. That may be the reason for good demand of Mechanical Engineering branch in NIT Jamshedpur. National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur is the first NIT in Jharkhand. The institute is earlier known as Regional Institute of Technology and established in the undivided Bihar in 1960. NIT Jamshedpur is offering B.Tech porgrammes in Computer Science and Engineering, Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communications, Mechanical, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering and Production and Industrial Engineering. NIT Jamshedpur admits students in B.Tech course through AIEEE counseling.
