Hello Sir, I’m Hari working in Qatar. My son is giving his CBSE Exams for his x class. I want to know which group in 10+2 (either MPC or BiPC) is required to join in order to get eligibility for B Tech Biotechnology.

Previously only M.PC students were considered but presently both BiPC and M.PC students are considered. So anything you can opt for but better, he can go for M.Pc if he is interested in other Engineering stream also. If he is interested in biology let him go for Medicine, Pharma, Dental, Agriculture that are very good and have lot of bright future.
Engineering stream is becoming a regular process to all kinds of students like below average, average and above average without much categorization. Unless he secure seat in premier institutes like IITs or NITs or Reputed universities there is no point in doing Engineering, instead of which he can go for biology field that will have lot of future in the coming years.
