My child is studying in a ICSE school at Cochin. I have to shift to Bangalore in April. I am an Ex-Serviceman. Is there any possibility to get admission in KV Malleswaram for my daughter in 3rd Std being single girl child and comes under ward of Ex-serviceman.

My daughter is studying in UKG Now we need admission in KV for class 1 , I have the following quries please let me know the chances of getting a seat in KV
1) Shall we apply in both DRDO KV and Krishnarajapuram KV for 2013 – 2014 admission for class1.
2) My father is a Railway employee do we have any reservation for it
2) We belong to SC category
3) I have only daughter only
4) My hubby is a software engineer in a MNC company
what all document I need to produce for the admission.

1. KV’s have separate age cut offs. Check with that in the first instance.
2. Grandsons / grand daughters of Govt Servants / Ex-servicemen will come under general category only. Only daughters / sons of Govt Servants / Ex-servicemen will be considered in the first category.
3. There are certain number of seats for SCs
4. No reservations for private employees.

you need to apply for the KV along with all other parents. You can mention your category (single girl child) in the application. There may be a few seats in this category. The number depends on various factors and applications for other categories as well. You need to produce the certificate from the Doctor where your wife undergone tubectomy. All the best.

You have to apply for KV in the month of April / May. It will be easy to get seat in KV if you are working in any central / state Government organisations / companies. Also check the age cut offs required for admission in 1st class.
