As far as I know, only children completing 5 years by 1st April,2016 is eligible for admission in KV for I standard.

Hi, My son’s DOB is July month 2013 please provide me the details of getting for my son nursery, lkg , ukg and 1st standard class, what are the conditions for age. For 1st standard class I am planning to join him in kv school, my father was a ex servicemen in army, and I was also a ex-student of kv, we belongs to sc category. Please let me know can I get a chance to send kv school. Thank you.
You will get priority only if parents of the child are from armed / defense forces. There is not ex – student quota. It may help while requesting the Principal if any vacancies are available. You can try in SC reservation category.

You can try but it is very difficult for general public to get admission as the KVs are meant for transferable government employees. One more thing is check the age criteria for admission into Class 1. You may need to wait for two more years!
