KV Admissions starts from February 2015

KV Schools Students The admission process for Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools (KVs) across the country would start from February 2015. The CBSE would issue KV admission guidelines for the academic year 2015-16 and the schools across the country will have to follow these guidelines. All the schools follow CBSE syllabus and textbooks prepared by NCERT, which are known as the best books for school education.

KV Schools Admission Procedure

The Government is proposed to reserve 25 percent of seats to Economically Weaker Sections of the Society under EWS category. This will be implemented as per the guidelines of Right to Education Act (RTE) of Central Government. The admission process will be completed by March 2015.

Best KV Schools in Hyderabad

There are 1100 Kendriya Vidyalayas in the country. Out of these 80 KVs are located in NCR region of New Delhi. About 1 lakh students will be admitted in Class I across the country.

KV Schools in Bangalore

The KVs are following EWS and neighborhood education policy from the year 2014-15. Remaining guidelines will be as per the previous year admission process. It is also decided to do away with entrance test for Class VIII admissions.

    My husband is now working in Army at J&K (non family living station). So, me and my child stay at vellore. My daughter (single girl child) dob is 04/11/2008. she’s now studied in Ist standard in private school. I will get admission for IInd standard in KV school ?

  5. Dear Sir/Mam,

    My daughter is born on 1/9/2009, is she eligible for 1 std in your school , if so what r the procedures we need to follow, currently we being outside the country’s and will be back by May 1. Can I know is it possible to get admission after coming and also please advice the fee structure for the same.
    In Bangalore we do stay in K R Puram, please advice if any branches are available nearby.

    • Hi Sarika,
      KVs are central schools managed by Govt. of India and mainly meant for transferable central and state government employees. Others also can try but will be in the last order of priority. They collect very nominal fee. You need to apply according to the schedule released by KVS. By May 2015, the admissions will be over and you can contact the Principal of the school near to you if any vacancies available.
