Kendriya vidyalayas, much popular as KVs are known for affordable and quality education. The schools are run and managed by the department of school education, ministry of human resources development of government of India. Following is the admission procedure of Kendriya Vidyalayas.
KVs follow unique admission process across the country. The main concern of KVs is providing school education to transferable and non transferable central government employees and children of defence personnel.
The admission process of KVs starts in February – March every year. The age of the child should be 5 years at the time of the admission.

The KVs laid down detailed priority list of the children. Children of defence personnel get top priority in admissions. There are provisions for Central and state government employees children and single girl child. General applications will be given last priority. In the recent times, KVs are also giving good number of admissions to general category students.

In case single Girl child which certificate will produce for admission to Second standard or whom will issue that certificate please answer.
There may be a format or you may need to get the one from the doctor stating the details of your children.

Yes . You can apply under single girl child category. check the required age for his class.

Hi I tried kv school for my son but he couldn’t get it, then I tried for MP quota also but it is too cost and unfair.

MP quota seats are being sold in KVs? Didn’t heard of this previously. The corruption trickled down to KVs as well. God save education in India!

I am working in RVS college of Arts and Science as Assistant Professor in computer science Department handling exclusively for foreign students. Can I get seat for my son for class I for academic year of 2016-17. We belong to BC community and located in sulur. Both my father-in-law and mother-in-law are government employees(retired). Our aim is to join him in KV. My only son’s, dob is 7-2-2011. Can we know which category we belong to?
It will be easy if you are a central Government employee. Still you can try for a seat depending upon the preference, you may be considered in general category.

I submitted admission form for class 1 for my boy child but unfortunately i did not succeeded, at present i had admitted by child onto Class I in school conducted by State Board, I want my child to KV which conduct CBSE pattern , so can i get my child for Class 2 in academic year 2016-2017, pricesly i want to know that whether to get admission in KV in class 2 and further, is it the necessary crieteria to come from CBSE board
