    • Hi Shanthi,
You can apply for admission in KV under caste reservations. Your father’s service will not help much. The service of the father of the child will be considered. You can apply under single girl child scheme also to make the chances better.
      All the best!

    • Hi Vikram Singh,
You can apply for the admission. But the service of grandparent will not be considered by KVs. It can be an advantage if seats are there in general category.
      All the best!

  5. Hi,

    Greetings for the Day,

As i am working in Tata Consultancy services, I am transferred from chennai to Gandhi Nagar Gujarat. I submited online application for my son towards 1st standard class, it is showing waiting list 56.
I am falling under SC category and father is retired from BSNL. And also i am a physically challenged person.

Some peoples are telling their is some MP quota to get admission in KV.

My question is i came from Tamil Nadu and staying here from 2014. Will i am eligible for MP quota in this Gujarat state.

Is their any chances to get admission for my son as per SC quota or my physically challenged quota or my father served as central government staff.

Could you please advice whether my son will admission on my handicapped quota or how to contact the MP for school admission?

    Please advice.

    Thanks
    Venkat

    • Hi Venkatraman,
      1) MP quota can be availed if you are able to get a letter from local MP only.
      2) Yes, you can try under SC quota. This is the best way. But the PH quota will not be accepted.
      3) Your father service also will not help.
      All the best.
