The KVs laid down detailed priority list of the children. Children of defence personnel get top priority in admissions. There are provisions for Central and state government employees children and single girl child. General applications will be given last priority. In the recent times, KVs are also giving good number of admissions to general category students.

Dear Admin,
First of all thanks to you for responding to the questions. I have a daughter for whom I am seeking admission for Class2. We come under the general quota. Can we get admission?
It depends on the school at your location. Though it is tough for 2nd class, you can try with the school near to you. All the best.
my neighbour whose husband expired working with Metro Transport Corportion, (under Tamil Nadu Government) is trying to admit her son in KV Thanjavur in VIth standard. Presently, he is studying in a pvt. school. what test he has to take? what level the Hindi test will be? This is requested so that he can be prepared for the same.
KVs do not conduct admission tests. The admission will be on preferential basis. Transferable central government employees will get top priority and remaining employees afterwards. Please check the vacancy position at the school concerned and apply. All the best.

We really thankful to Govt. for considering RTE quota allotted for poor people. My son studying in 3rd std in Kendriya Vidyalaya, NAD Branch, Andhra Pradesh through RTE Quota. In Andhra Pradesh all branches, like Thatichetlapalem branch, Marripalem KV-1 & KV-2 all students were received fees concession, reimbursement of School Dress, Conveyance in RTE quota . NAD Branch – we received only fees exemption. When we are asking school dress, they said funds not received or available. Is it true. Kindly help for poor people.
