Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi issued Admission Notification for the year 2012-13. JNU (www.jnuonline.in) is highly reputed university in the country with best faculty and infrastructure. JNU offers UG, PG, M.Phil and Ph.D. Courses in various disciplines an Subjects. There are four categories of admission for JNU. All these are described below along with details of programs and application process. JNU has announced admission notification for the year 2012-13. Category – A Admissions: JNU shall hold entrance exams for these courses:

B) M.A : Politics (with specialization in International Relations)

A) M.Phil. / Ph.D.: German, Arabic, Russian, French, Persian, Urdu, Hindi, Chinese, Hindi Translation, Tamil, English, Linguistics, Japanese and Spanish.

Category B- Direct Admission to Ph.D. Programme:
JNU admits some students directly to Ph.D. programme on the basis of their performance in interview. There will be no entrance exam for this category admissions.
Category-C: JNU offer direct admissio to JRF holders into M.Phil and Ph.D. Programmes in all subjects of the School of Sciences.
Category-D : JNU hold separate entrance exam for Part Time admissons

You can have better opportunities if you finish your Doctorate from JNU, New Delhi. Academic field is becoming more attractive with opening of recruitment in universities. There are so many new institutions coming up in the country. It is advisable to go for Ph.D. through JRF.

Quiet interesting! Why do you want to change the entire discipline of studies at this stage of career? You got a full fledged professional degree with B.Tech. It does not appears to be a good decision to shift the entire career focus now. If you have interest in Political Science, you can pursue it through distance mode or you can study the subject on your own while working. We would be able to give proper suggestion if you provide the reasons for shifting the discipline.

You may need to wait till December – January 2012 for JNU Admissions notification 2012. Syllabus for the entrance test will be from the topics at Post Graduation level.

Wait for the next year JNU Admission Notification 2012-13 to be released during January 2012. You can also try for EFLU which is a reputed university for Language studies.
