  2. Respected Sir,

I am an undergraduate student at a university in the United States. I will graduate this year with two Bachelor (BA) degrees; one in Women’s Studies and an interdisciplinary one in Human Rights in South Asia. I was wondering if it is possible to apply for direct admission into a PhD program at JNU without holding a Master’s degree first, and if there are any fellowships international students may apply for in order to make this possible. I am Indian-American and may obtain OCI status (Overseas Citizen of India), and was also wondering if you knew if this would make it possible to apply for scholarships.

    • Yasmin,
We don’t think it is possible for enrolling in Ph.D. in JNU without Post Graduation in the concerned subject. There may be chances if your course is equivalent to post graduation in India. Try to check with the admissions department at JNU.
      Wish you all the best!

    • Hi Sanjana,
You may need at least 55 percent marks to appear for Ph.D. Entrance Examination. Relaxation may apply if you have any reservations. You will get the seat very easily if you have UGC JRF. Check JNU website for detailed guidelines.
