Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi issued Admission Notification for the year 2012-13. JNU (www.jnuonline.in) is highly reputed university in the country with best faculty and infrastructure. All these are described below along with details of programs and application process. JNU has announced admission notification for the year 2012-13. Category – A Admissions: JNU shall hold entrance exams for these courses:

B) M.A : Politics (with specialization in International Relations)

A) M.Phil. / Ph.D.: German, Arabic, Russian, French, Persian, Urdu, Hindi, Chinese, Hindi Translation, Tamil, English, Linguistics, Japanese and Spanish.

Category B- Direct Admission to Ph.D. Programme:
JNU admits some students directly to Ph.D. programme on the basis of their performance in interview. There will be no entrance exam for this category admissions.
Category-C: JNU offer direct admissio to JRF holders into M.Phil and Ph.D. Programmes in all subjects of the School of Sciences.
Category-D : JNU hold separate entrance exam for Part Time admissons

i intend on pursuing M.phil in English from JNU but unsure of the syllabus for the entrance exams. JNU website provides a general outline for the exams but to crack JNU entrance exam one will need more than a mere outline. can u please provide me the syllabus in detail for the same ??
I got JRF in Arabic.Can I get admission for M Phil (Arabic) at JNU without Entrance exam?
The notification did not mention The School of Language and Literature in the JRF Category of Admissions. Hence you need to contact the concerned department directly. Generally concerned Department/ Schools will have discretion regarding procedure of admission for JRF holders.

There is no direct admission provision for Computers and Systems Sciences. You may have to write written exam / viva voce or both. JNU offers Ph.D./ M.Tech. in Computer and System Sciences and Computational and Integrative Sciences.
Is it necessary to give exam in concerned language for jnu ba(hons) 2nd year
respected sir will u tell me pl is it any course offerd in jnu for direct second year admition in b tech for diploma in mechanical engineer in correspondance.
JNU is not offering Graduate Programs in Engineering such as BE/ B.Tech. So there is no question of offering any engineering course in correspondence / distance mode.

How does one apply for the women’s studies programme in J.N.U? Is it an M. Phil or a credit course for people from different disciplines?
JNU Offer Ph.D. in Women’s studies. The university admits candidates based on written test / interview or both. A separate notification will be issued for admission to direct Ph.D. Admissions. Following is the schedule of Direct Admissions to Ph.D. in Women’s studies:
1. Issue of applications from 7th February to 21st March, 2011 for admission in Monsoon Semester
2. Issue of forms start from 1st September to 14th October, 2011 for admission in Winter Semester.
You can get it from JNU office or through post in the prescribed manner.

The application procedure for M.Phil. Sociology is same as for other courses. You can get the application through post from JNU by sending a request letter along with DD for the cost of application and an envelope. See the post for details or you can also check JNU website.

M.Phil in Psychology is offered at Center for Educational Studies, School of Social Sciences, JNU. But the major focus would be on Educational Psychology. Please try to go through detailed prospectus available on JNU website.
