Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi (NVS) will conduct Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi (JNVs) Selection Test – 2018 for admission into class 6 in JNVs for the academic year 2018-19. The online applications will be available till 25th November 2017.
Number of seats:
There are 660 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country. Out of these, 638 JNVs are functioning. Each JNV will have 80 students in 6th Class. These seats will be filled through entrance test.
Eligibility:
Candidates should be from the district where JNV is located only are eligible. Candidates should have born between 1st May 2015 and 30th April 2009.
A candidate appearing for the selection test must be studying Class VI for the academic session 2017-18 in a Government recognised school or its equivalent recognised organisation.
Selection Test:
The selection test of JNVs consists of following sections:
Mental Ability Test: 50 questions – 50 marks – 60 minutes.
Arithmetic Test: 25 questions – 25 marks – 30 minutes.
Language Test: 25 questions – 25 marks – 30 minutes.
All the questions will be in objective multiple type pattern. There is no negative marking in JNV entrance test.
Can I get admission for my daughter for class 7 in 2018-19 year.
What will be the procedure? I am located at Pune.
You can apply for the KVs nearest to you depending up on the vacancies. Usually it is difficult for admissions in middle classes. The vacancy position will be displayed on the website of respective KVs.
9thclass syllabus is based for the entrance exam while it may be state board or may be in CBSE.
