Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar (Orissa) is inviting applications for the grant of / admission into Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Ph.D. Programms for the academic year 2011-12. Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar is an autonomous Institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The institute is engaged in advanced research in the specialisations such as infectious diseases, gene function and regulation and translational research. Following are details of the programme:
Essential Qualifications: Candidates should have Master’s degree or equivalent with at least 55 percent marks in any branch of Life Sciences or Chemistry. They should have qualified in NET with valid fellowship from UGC / CSIR / ICMR-NET / DBT. Candidates those selected for INSPIRE fellowship are also eligible to apply. Emoluments will be as per norms of the funding agency.

Selection for JRF cum Ph.D. Programme will be based on the interviews. Details of shortlisted candidates for interviews will be displayed on the Institute website www.ils.res.in. The institute will provide hostel accommodation for selected candidates.
