IIT Gandhinagar is one of the latest institutes to join the league of IITs. The IIT Gandhinagar (Gujarat) is looking for dedicated young scholars to join its Ph.D programme. IIT Gandhinagar is offering Ph.D programmes in Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Biological Engineering, Philosophy, Political Science, Mechanical Engineering, Psychology, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Cognitive Science, Electrical Engineering, History, Language and Literature, Materials Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Earth Sciences, Mathematics, Social Epidemiology and Sociology.
Eligibility Requirements:
Candidates should have at least 55 percent marks in M.A./ M.Sc./ B.Tech./ M.Tech or equivalent degree in appropriate branches.

Admission Procedure:
The candidates will be selected on the basis of an interview. The institute will also conduct a written test if necessary. The final selection will be mainly based on academic credentials, written test and / or interview.
Nature of Written Test:
The written test will be based on the topics of general aptitude such as logical reasoning, analytical and numerical ability, etc., writing skills, and basic courses of various disciplines at UG level.
Application Procedure:
Applications have to be submitted online only. Candidates need to apply separately for each discipline, if they are applying for more than one discipline. Last date for the submission of online applications is 5th October 2017. Written test / personal interviews will be held in October / November 2017.
