Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram has announced notification for admission to Ph.D. Programme for the May 2012 session. IIST is functioning under the aegis of Department of Space, Government of India. IIST is a deemed university with focus on research and training in Space Science and Technology. The Ph.D. Programme is available in the broad disciplines of Chemistry, Earth and Space Sciences, Humanities, Mathematics and Physics.
Selected candidates for Ph.D programmes will be offered IIST fellowship of Rs. 16000 or Rs. 18000 per month. Filled in application forms along with relevant copies of certificates should be sent to ‘The Administrative Officer, IIST, Valiamala PO, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 547. IIST is also offering B.Tech. Programme in Space Technology which is known as best in the country.
Applications should be superscribed with ‘Application for IIST Ph.D. Programme – May 2012. Application forms should also be accompanied by a fee of Rs. 250 (Rs. 125 for SC / ST candidates) in the form of DD drawn in favour of The Registrar, IIST and payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
