IGNOU-ICRI M.Sc. Clinical Trials Admissions 2011-12

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and ICRI India are inviting applications for admission into M.Sc. in Clinical Trials for the academic year 2011-12. ICRI is the leading institute for training in Clinical Research in India. This is a full time face to face Post Graduate Program. Admissions are open for the current academic session starting from July 2011. The degree will be awarded by the IGNOU, New Delhi. Following are details of program, eligibility and application procedure:

M.Sc. in Clinical Trials: Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should have B.Sc. in Life Sciences (Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Zoology, Botany, Nursing, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry) / B.Pharm / M.Pharm / MBBS / BDS / BAMS / BHMS.

Course Structure: The course will have following papers in 1st ad 2nd years.

First Year:

1) Paper I: Introduction to Clinical Trial and Pharmaceutical Medicine
2) Paper II: Basic Principles of Pharmacology and Therapeutics
3) Paper III: Drug Regulations and Bioethics
4) Paper IV: Phases of Clinical Trials and Biostatistics

Second Year:

1) Paper I: Clinical Trial Management – I
2) Paper II: Clinical Trial Management – II
3) Dissertation / Project
