Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam has announced notification for Junior Research Fellowships (JRFs) 2012 for young and talented students to contribute to path breaking research in the areas of engineering and sciences. The IGCAR is functioning under the aegis of Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India. The selected candidates will be eligible to enroll for Ph.D. in Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI). Number of fellowships offered are 50. Here are other details:
Areas of research projects: Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Metallurgy or Materials Science and Engineering Sciences. Applicants should have qualified in the disciplines of Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Metallurgy / Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Atmospheric Sciences. Age should be below 28 years as on 01-07-2012.
Candidates with following educational qualifications are eligible. They should have Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physical / Chemical / Atmospheric Sciences OR B.E./ B.Tech../ B.S. or B.Sc. Engineering/ B.Sc. Tech. OR Engineering (BE / B.Tech) in CSE, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical, ME, EIE, ECE, EEE OR should be in the final year / semester of M.Sc./ B.E./ B.Tech./ B.S. or B.Sc. Engineering / B.Sc. (Tech).
