Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a computer adaptive standardized test in verbal, quantitative and analytical skills and English comprehension to check student’s aptitude for business studies. The test is conducted in many testing centres around the world. In Andhra Pradesh it is held at Pearson Professional Centers, Hyderabad. The cost to take the GMAT exam is USD 250. The test score is valid for a period of 5 years. Over 1,900 graduate business schools around the world use GMAT scores as a part of their admission process. Effective preparation for GMAT test would require at least six months. The maximum score one can achieve is 800. The top 20 B-schools in the world require a GMAT score of around 700. There are standard books available in the market for preparation. Apart from this a student can also access on-line tests.
