Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore (Karnataka) announced admission notification for its most prestigious course M.Sc. Food Technology for the year 2011-2013. Duration of the course is 2 years and the program is being run is association with University of Mysore. CFTRI is an institute working under the purview of CSIR, Govt. of India. Following are details of eligibility and application procedure:
Eligibility: Applicants should have Bachelor Degree in Science with Chemistry/ Biochemistry as one of the subjects. Or they should have studied Agriculture / Engineering / Technology. And Mathematics at Plus 2 or Degree level is compulsory for all the candidates. Candidates need 55 percent marks in optional subjects of B.Sc. OR minimum second class marks are required for Agriculture / Engineering / Technology graduates.
CFTRI shall conduct Entrance / Aptitude Test for admission purpose. The test will be conducted at Mysore and New Delhi on July 17, 2011. Those appeared / appearing for the final year examinations also can apply. Interested candidates can download application forms from http://www.cftri.com/mscadmin.html . Filled in forms with all relevant enclosures should be sent to ‘Director, CFTRI, Mysore – 570 020’ along with a DD for Rs.500/- towards fee drawn in favour of ‘Director, CFTRI, Mysore’.
