Center for the Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) is inviting application from eligible candidates for admission into Training Programme on IBM Mainframe course for the year 2011-12. This is the 123rd batch of the course being offered by CDAC Thiruvanantapuram. CDAC is a super computing organisation functioning under the ministry of communication and information technology, Govt. of India. The program is also offered at Kochi centre along with Thiruvanantapuram. Following are details of eligibility and application procedure:
1. Course: Training Programmes on IBM Mainframe
2. Modules to be covered: MVS, JCL, VSAM, VS COBOL, DB2, CICS
3. Eligibility: BE / B.Tech / MCA
4. Duration of the Programme: 46 days full time. 5 days per 5. week.
6. Start Date of the Programme: 17th August 2011
The CDAC has also announced that the many of the successful candidates have been recruited by leading software companies like Patni Computer Systems Ltd- Mumbai, Kanbay Software- Pune, CGI Bangalore, Tata Infotech Pune, Accenture Services Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore, iGate Global Solutions Bangalore, and HCL Technologies, Chennai through campus placements. CDAC has announecd that 65 percent candidates of the last batch have been placed by various companies.
