Notification for CSIR UGC NET 2022 Released

The registration process for CSIR UGC NET 2022 has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This joint exam is conducted for the posts of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in the field of Science and Technology. The exam is conducted in CBT for the time period of 3 hours by NTA. The last date to register for the exam is August 10, 2022 (11:50 pm).

Steps to apply for CSIR UGC NET 2022:

  1. Visit the official website of NTA – csirnet.nta.nic.in
  2. Click on “Registration for Joint CSIR UGC NET June 2022”.
  3. Register and upload the required documents.
  4. Pay the application fees and submit the form.
  5. Take print of the application form for future references.

Application fees – General/General-EWS category applicants will be charged an application fees of Rs 1000. OBC-NCL category applicants will be charged Rs 500. SC/ST/Third Gender candidates are required to pay Rs 250 whereas PWD candidates are not required to pay application fees.

  3. English Language Proficiency – Students can write either IELTS or TOEFL as most of the universities accept either of them. These are the tests given to prove your English proficiency in the fields of writing, reading, listening and speaking.
  4. Statement of Purpose (SOP) – This is an essay which explains why you want to study the course you are choosing and why it is the right university for you. You can mention your academic and extra-curricular achievements and also about work experience if you have any.
  5. Letters of Recommendation (LOR) – These are the letters which are written by the faculty under which you have done your Bachelor’s degree. These are required to be sent by them directly to the universities you are applying to.
  6. Resume – Create a Resume mentioning all your achievements and accomplishments in maximum of two pages.

After getting all of the above documents ready make a list of the universities and courses you are eligible for and fill the application forms on their respective websites. Send the documents when asked and wait for the decisions.

After accepting a University offer of your choice, get your i20 and apply for Student/F-1 Visa. Also apply for education loan prior to your visa interview if you plan to take a loan for you education abroad. Once your visa is approved, you can book a flight ticket and get ready to take off!
