CAT 2013 Results and Cut Offs

IIM Indore has announced that the results of Common Admission Test (CAT 2013) will be announced on 14th January at 9 AM. The candidates can obtain the results from the website www.car2013.iimidr.ac.in .

IIMs require huge cut offs in CAT for admission into PGDM programmes. The cut offs may vary from 95 – 99.9 depending up on the reputations of the institute.

The CAT 2013 is for admission into PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) courses in IIMs in the country. Several corporate and private institutions also consider CAT scores for shortlisting the candidates for Group Discussion and Interviews.

Engineering candidates from IITs, NITs compete for CAT as the Management degree from a reputed institute after Engineering from these institutions will fetch good opportunities.

IIMs in India are located at Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Indore, Licknow, Kozikode, Shillong, Rohtak, Ranshi, Raipur, Thiruchirapalli and Kashipur.

CBSE Date – Sheets 2014 for Class X and Class XII Exams

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi has announced that the Board Examinations 2013 – 2014014 for Class X and Class XII will start from 1st March 2014. The CBSE will release detailed date – sheet of examination in the last week of December 2013.

It is observed that about 2.5 lakhs students will be appearing for CBSE Class X and Class XII exams from southern region alone. 1.8 lakhs students will be appearing for Class X exams and about 80 thousand students will be sitting for Class XII examinations.

Southern region will cover states of Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Goa, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Daman and Duyyu etc. There is growing importance for CBSE schools.

It is observed that the CBSE curriculum will have edge over state syllabus with regard to entrance examinations for IITs and other Engineering entrance examinations. For more details of CBSE exams, see www.cbse.gov.in .
