National University of Singapore-ISS M.Tech Admissions – January 2012 Session

National University of Singapore (NUS) in collaboration with Institute of Systems Science (ISS) is offering Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Software Engineering / Knowledge Engineering for the Session to be commenced from January 2012. The programme is jointly offered by the Institute of Systems Science, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the School of Computing at the National University of Singapore. The completion of the program will lead to the award of a Masters degree by the National University of Singapore. The programmes are designed to meet the needs of software and IT industry. Duration of the programme is a minimum of two and one-half years and a maximum of five years of part-time study. The programme is also offered on a full-time basis with a duration of over a minimum period of one and half years. Following are details of eligibility and application procedure:

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should possess an undergraduate degree, preferably in Science or Engineering and a grade point average of at least B. They should have at least 2 years relevant working experience. For the Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering programmes, the work experience of the candidates must be as an IT professional.

Candidates should have passed an entrance test conducted by ISS or have achieved a satisfactory score in the GRE general test. They should have received a favourable assessment at an admissions interview conducted by ISS. Candidates need high proficiency in the English language in both spoken and written formats. International applicants who studied Graduation from universities where English is not the medium of instruction may also be asked to take TOEFL / IELTS. Candidates with equivalent degrees of an NUS / NTU honours degree, masters degree or Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering
(or similar) will be exempted from taking the entrance test.

NUS is conducting Spot Admissions in India for the M.Tech Programmes as per the schedule given below. Candidates should submit application to be short listed for test and interview. You have to submit the M.Tech online application to reserve your test / interview appointment. Following is the spot admissions schedule:

1) Coimbatore: Admission Test on 10th September 2011; Interviews on 10 Sep 11 and 11 Sep 11
2) Bengaluru: Admission Test on 13th September 2011; Interviews on 13th and 14th September 2011
3) Chennai: Admission Test on 17th September 2011; Interviews on 18th, 19th and 20th September 2011
