IISER 5 Year BS – MS Dual Degree Admissions 2014-15

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) has announced notification for admission into its prestigious programme BS – MS Dual Degree for the academic year 2014-15. The IISER campuses are located at Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram.

BS – MS is a five year dual degree program. Candidates should have completed Class XII. The candidates should have motivation for research in sciences.

Admission will be for three streams. They are KVPY Basic Science Stream, JEE Advanced 2014 qualified candidates cand State and Central Boards candidates who are eligible for INSPIRE fellowships.

KVPY and INSPIRE candidates will get scholarships. The IISERs will publish all the details in the next admission announcement to be released in February 2014. For more details, see the website at www.iiser-admissions.in .

JEST 2014 for Ph.D Admissions in Physics and Computer Science

The Notification for Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST 2014) for admission into Ph.D Programmes in Physics, Theoretical Computer Science and Neuroscience for the academic year 2014-15 has been released on 16 November.

Participating institutions: ARIES, Nainital; HBNI – Mumbai, HRI – Allahabad, ICTS – TIFR Bangalore, IGCAR Kalpakkam, IIA Bangalore, IISC – Bangalore, IISERs at Mohali, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram, IOP Bhubaneswar, RRI Bangalore etc.

Interested candidates can apply online only through www.jest.org.in . The entrance exam will be conducted across the country on 16 February 2014 from 10 AM to 1 PM.
