Commonwealth Scholarship in the United Kingdom September / October 2017

Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has announced Commonwealth Scholarship in the United Kingdom (UK) for the academic year commencing in September / October 2017. Last date for the submission of applications is 22 September 2016.

Online applications are invited for award of Commonwealth Scholarships in United Kingdom starting from September / October 2017. The Government of India has to send 65 nominations to the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission for final selection which is to be made by them.

One Year Taught Masters Courses: These are Master Degree programs which are less than 2 years in duration of foreign universities and are not equivalent to Master Degree in India.

Doctoral Degree of upto 36 or 48 month: Applicants can apply for one of the following subjects. 1. Agronomy and Forestry 2. Aerospace Engineering /Aeronautics 3. Biotechnology / Biochemical Engineering, 4. Chemistry (including Pharmaceutical / Medicinal Chemistry) 5. Communication Engineering 6. Computer Applications / Computer Science 7. Civil Engineering /Architecture 8. Electronics/ Electrical 9. Environmental Studies, 10. Economics 11. English (Literature / Linguistics) 12. History 13. Law 14. Material Science 15. Marine Engineering 16. Mining Engineering 17. Mathematics 18. Molecular Biology 19. Management Studies 20. Physics 21. Psychology 22. Philosophy 23. Political Science with International Relations 24. Remote Sensing Technology, 25. Robotics and 26. Sociology.

Maulana Azad Scholarship for Girls from Minorities 2016-17

scholarships for girls Maulana Azad Education Foundation (MAEF) has announced Scholarship for Girls for the year 2016 – 2017. The scholarship is for meritorious girl students belonging to national minorities. Scholarship will be provided for payment of fee, purchase of books, boarding expenses etc.

Eligibility: Only Girl Students belonging to Minorities are eligible. They should have secured not less than 55 percent marks in aggregate in the secondary school certificate examination (Class xth).

Family income of the student from all sources should be less than Rs. 100000 (Rupees one lakh only) in the preceding financial year. They also should have confirmed admission in class-XI.

Interested candidates can apply online only through the website http://www.maef.nic.in/REGDemo.aspx . Closing date for the submission of applications is 30 September 2016.
