Applications are invited for giving the Fellowships of the Long term & Short term Associateships in Department of Biotechnology .

Details of Fellowships:
1) Long term associateship
Duration: One Year
Age: Below 45 Years
Entitlements: USD 3000 for monthly Associateship
Preparatory Allowance: Rs.1,00,000

2) Short term associateship
Duration: Three / Six Months
Age: Below 55 Years
Entitlements: USD 3000 for monthly Associateship
Preparatory Allowance: Rs.50,000

KVPY Scholarships Notification 2013-14 by IISC

The Department of Science and Technology has announced notification of Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Scholarship scheme 2013-14. The scheme is aimed at promoting research in basic and applied sciences. Junior Intermediate (+1), Senior Intermediate (+2) and B.Sc candidates of science streams can apply for these scholarships. The scheme is run by IISC, Bangalore.

1) Stream SA (Junior Inter): Eligibility is pass in 10th Class with 80 percent marks and should have joined in Junior Intermediate.
2) Stream SX (Senior Inter): Eligibility is same as above.
3) Stream SB (Bachelor Degree – B.Sc / BS / B.Stat / B.Maths / Integrated PG Courses): Candidates with at least 60 percent marks in Inter Science stream are eligible.

Selected candidates will get Rs. 5000 as fellowship per month. Integrated PG candidates will receive Rs.7000 per month for the last two years of the course.

Interested candidates can apply online only through the website www.kvpy.org.in . Last date for online registration is 29 August 2013. Last date for the receipt of printed copies of the application is 2 September 2013.
