AcSIR announces Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Summer Training Program – 2018

Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), an institute of national importance and established by an Act of Parliament of India has announced Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Summer Training Program – 2018.

AcSIR invites applications for Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Summer Training Program (2018) to work with renowned scientists in India’s premier research institutions, CSIR – Labs.

Eligibility:

Students pursuing third year of BE / B.Tech or equivalent, first year of M.Sc / ME / M.Tech or equivalent, OR third to fourth / fifth year of Integrated M.Sc / ME/ M.Tech can apply by 31st December 2017.

National Talent Search Examination for Class X Students Announced – 2017

National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) – 2017 notification has been issued by National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT). The students studying in Class X can appear for the examination at two levels- Stage-I (State Level) and Stage-II (National Level).

Scholarship Amount:

About one thousand scholarships are awarded for different stages of education as follows:
1. Scholarship of Rs. 1250 per month for Class XI to XII.
2. Scholarship of Rs. 2000 per month for Undergraduates and Post graduates.
3. Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D. is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.

Selection Procedure:

There will be two stages in the selection procedure as described below:

Stage-I, selection will be done by States/ UTs and those who qualify Stage-I, will be eligible to appear for Stage-II examination, conducted by NCERT.

Eligibility Requirement:

All students of Class X studying in recognized schools are eligible to appear for the Stage-I examination, conducted by the States / UTs, in which the schools are located.

Stage-I (State):

Last date for submission of application form: To be notified by the respective State and it may vary from state to state.
Date of Stage – I Examination: 05/11/2017.

Stage-II (National):
Date of Stage – II Examination: 13/05/2018.
