The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has conducted the written examination for the recruitment of Assistant Statistical Officers (ASO) on 29th July 2012 in Andhra Pradesh. Here we are giving the General Studies question paper along with key / answers for all the series of question papers (A, B, C and D series papers). The General Studies (GS) question paper consists of 150 objective multiple choice questions for 150 marks thus making a mark for each right answer. The examination was originally scheduled to be held on 24th July and later postponed to 29th July 2012. The official key for GS and all Paper 2 subjects is also available on this site in another post.

The candidates should note that the below key is not the official key. It is given for an assessment of initial estimation of the candidates. They have to consider the APPSC Key as an authorised one and should follow the same for counting marks. Here we are giving question paper also for the benefit of the candidates who will be writing similar examinations of APPSC. See ASO key and GS question paper below:

We will be posting the key / answers along with question papers of APPSC Group 2 General Studies Paper 2 and Paper 3 shortly here. The examinations are scheduled on 22nd July 2012 in the morning and afternoon sessions. The Group 2 General Studies Paper 1 examination was held on 21st July (Saturday). You can get the key and question paper of Paper 1 from another post. We shall also upload the key and full question papers for Paper 2 and Paper 3 by the evening. If you know the key and answers, then you can check Group 2 expected cut offs for all the papers. About 3.66 lakhs candidates appeared for the Group 2 General Studies Paper 1 examination. Out of the total 5.4 lakhs candidates who applied only 4.8 lakhs candidates downloaded their hall tickets from APPSC website at www.apspsc.gov.in . Candidates may be facilitated to download the question paper 2 and paper 3 by the evening.

The APPSC has taken up Group 2 recruitment to fill up the vacancies in various Government departments in Andhra Pradesh. The positions available as per the notification are ACTOs, Labour Officers, Junior Assistants, Audit Officers, Section Officers etc. The results of the written examinations are likely to be released within a month or two.
