In a disappointing note, APPSC has postponed the release of proposed recruitment calendar for the calendar year 2020. Lakhs of unemployed candidates are waiting for the recruitment calendar. Earlier it is proposed to release the calendar with details of Groups, Police jobs and DSC schedule 2020.

Delay in identifying vacancies:

APPSC has requested all the departments concerned to give the details of vacancies in their purview. But the delay in sending information of vacancies to APPSC has resulted in the postponement of release of job calender 2020.

APPSC Secretary PSR Anjaneyulu has informed that the delay in receiving vacancy details is not as per the expectations hence the delay in recruitment calendar.

Upper age limit to 46 years:

It is proposed that APPSC is likely to release the job calendar 2020 any time between 15 – 30 January 2020. Government is also discussing the increase of upper age limit to 46 years for various recruitments.

In a significant change in IPE in Andhra Pradesh, the government has decided to reintroduce marks system and do away with grades system. Board of Intermediate Education, AP will issue a notification officially to this effect.

It is observed that the grades system is not accepted in admissions in many colleges after Intermediate. Due to this, several students are demanding marks system instead of grades in IPE.

Weightage Calculation:

In AP EAMCET also 20 percent weightage is given to IPE marks. In Telangana also, weightage is given for IPE marks in engineering admissions. Marks are required for these exams. Several national level institutions also asking for marks during admissions.

BIE is also considering the system being followed in CBSE and ICSE / ISC in calculation of marks / grades. Parents are also demanding for marks system as many deemed universities are asking for the same for engineering admissions.
