THSTI Faridabad Young Investigator Award 2016-17

Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), Faridabad is inviting applications for the Young Investigator Award in the Maternal and Child Health area for the year 2016-17. Details of the award are given below:

The award is aimed at nurturing young investigators who have a strong aptitude towards research and a desire to grow into independent principal investigators.

The selected awardees are expected to develop a letter of intent followed by development of full proposal and implementation of the proposal over the course of the award period. Mentorship will be provided to facilitate the process.

Qualifications: Candidates holding MD and / or Ph.D (life sciences/ Biomedical Engineering) with relevant research publications are eligible. The award is for a period of two years with emolument of Rs. 75,000 per month.

Applications received till the end of 19th August 2016 will go through the selection process till November 2016. The applications received till the end of the subsequent months will be taken through a next round of selection process spanning three months. For more information, see www.thsti.res.in .

IISER – KVPY Young Fellowship Program 2016 – 2017

Indian Institute for Science Education and Research (IISER) invites applications from eligible candidates for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Fellowship Program for the year 2016- 2017.

Basic Sciences: SA/ SX/ SB – during 1st to 3rd years of – B.Sc./ B.S./ B.Stat./ B.Math./ Integrated M.Sc./ M.S. Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 5000. Annual Contingency Grant: Rs. 20000. 

SA/ SX/ SB – during M.Sc./ 4th to 5th years of Integrated M.Sc./ M.S./ M.Math./ M.Stat. Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 7000. Annual Contingency Grant: Rs. 28000

Selection Procedure:Aptitude Test: After scrutiny of application forms and meeting the eligibility criteria for various streams, all eligible students will be called for aptitude test conducted both in Hindi and English at different centers across the country on Sunday, the 6th November 2016. 

Interview: Based on the performance in the aptitude test, short-listed students will be asked to appear for an interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure. 

Candidates applying for KVPY Fellowship Exam are required to apply only through the KVPY website. Last date for closing of online applications is 30 August 2016. Exam date is 6 November 2016.
