V-SAT 2011 -Vignan University Guntur-B.Tech Admissions

Vignan University, Vadlamudi, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh has issued VSAT 2011 notification for admission to various B.Tech. Programmes. The University conducts All India level competitive exam V-SAT 2011 for the purpose of admissions. Vignan University offers excellent scholarship schemes for meritorious candidates. GPAT 2011 Notification- Exam Structure-Model Questions

The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT 2011) would be conducted by The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara on behalf of All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi on 8th May 2011. GPAT is for admission to Masters (M.Pharmacy) and Doctoral Courses in Pharmacy in various institutions across the country. GPAT was initiated in 2010 and registrations for GPAT 2011 will be online only. GPAT 2011 will have objective Multiple Choice Questions and the syllabus of GPAT 2010 has been revised. Interested candidates can visit www.gpat.in OR msubaroda.ac.in for more information on the changes in syllabus. Following are other details like eligibility, application procedure and question paper pattern.

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree holders in Pharmacy (B.Pharmacy – 4 years after 10+2) are eligible to appear for GPAT 2011. Those students who are in the final year of B.Pharmacy course also can apply. Admission to postgraduate and Doctoral programmes in Pharmacy for the academic year 2011-12 will be done through GPAT 2011. Candidates joined in the above courses through GPAT will be eligible for MHRD and other government scholarships / research or teaching assistantships in pharmacy colleges / institutes. Candidates with B.Pharmacy and GPAT qualification are eligible for higher level courses like Master / Doctoral programmes in Pharmacy. Some self financing institutes also require GPAT scores for admission to M.Pharmacy Programes. GPAT qualified candidates can also join as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in CSIR Laboratories and they can take up CSIR / UGC sponsored projects.

GPAT Examination structure: The GPAT examination consists of a single paper with 100 Multiple Choice Questions of 3 hours duration. Each question carry one mark and total paper is for 100 marks. The candidates will have to mark the answers on Optical Response Sheet (ORS). There will be negative marking for each wrong answer. This will be 1/3 (one-third) mark of the allotted marks for each question. GPAT score is valid for one year. This year also The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodra-390002, India will act as organising institute for GPAT 2011.

The GPAT questions will evaluate candidate’s aptitude and subject knowledge of Pharmacy. Questions involves basic understanding principles, facts, fundamental ideas, formulae / laws, and application or drawing observations of the fundamentals of pharmacy subject.
