AP EAMCET in April 2020 – Entrance Tests Dates Released

Government of Andhra Pradesh has released dates for various entrance examinations to be conducted in AP for the year 2020-21. AP EAMCET 2020 is schedules between 20-24 April 2020. Other exams like ICET, ECET, PGECET, LAWCET, EDCET etc will be held in April, May 2020. Following is the schedule:

AP EAMCET (JNTU Kakinada): 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 April 2020
APICET (SVU, Tirupati): 27 April 2020
APECET (JNTU, Anantapur): 30 April
PGECET (Andhra University, Vizag): 2, 3, 4 May 2020
LAWCET (SKU, Anantapur): 8 May 2020
EDCET: Andhra University: 9 May 2020
B.Arch CET: Andhra University: Based on National entrance exams.

APRCET (Research CET) will be conducted by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. The schedule will be released in due course of time.

All the entrance examinations will be conducted online only. Candidates are advised to track the official portals of respective exams for changes in any entrance test dates.

Amma Vodi Scheme in AP – Free Education Eligibility and Application Details

Government of AP has announced Amma Vodi scheme to help the poor families in the state to send thier children to schools and colleges. The Government will pay Rs.15000 per year under Amma Vodi scheme. Amma Vodi is a free education scheme aimed at uplifting poor families and improving quality of education in Government schools. Following are details Amma Vodi eligibility, selection process, online application and other information.

Eligibility for Amma Vodi:

Parents smust send their children to the regular schools. Amma Vodi is applicable for the classes 1 to Intermediate. Parents smust have white ration card to be eligible for Amma Vodi Scheme.

From 26th January 2020:

Under Amma Vodi scheme, mothers sending their children to government / private schools will get Rs.15000 from Government of AP as a financial aid to pay fee and other expenses. Amma Vodi scheme will be launched from 26th January 2020.

Amma Vodi scheme is aimed at providing free education for children from poor families in Andhra Pradesh.

Application Process:

The beneficiaries of Amma Vodi scheme will be identified at the village level by the revenue authorities. There will be offline application process. The scheme Amma Vodi is originally planned for classes upto 10th class and later extended till Intermediate education.
